Accountability:
The Aligner installs precision parts in the machine tool bed casting. Including units, ball screws, and linear guides.
Scope and Responsibilities:
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
- Inspect and clean casting.
- Install precision parts on machined casting.
- Verify parallel of linear guides and ball screws.
- Install precision units on machine tool.
- Use precision instruments to check geometry of machine tool.
- Operate overhead crane to install heavy items.
- Operate walk behind fork truck to transport parts.
- Operate overhead crane to move machine tool to different locations in the facility.
Education/Certification:
- Some College or Trade School preferred.
Skills:
- Experience with hand tools
- Experience with power tools
- Previous Crane and walk behind fork truck training.
- Experience using precision instruments.
