Position Summary: Responsible for leading the design of industrial/process plant work from PFD or P&ID’s. Develop specifications and procurement of large industrial equipment. Knowledge base to include design of complex material handling systems industrial chemical plant type design and general manufacturing facilities.
Basic Duties:
Perform as a lead engineer on projects.
Provide calculations and design mechanical equipment and fabrications which include conveyors, chutes, hoppers, bins, tanks, dust collections, and process and mechanical equipment.
Specification, analysis and procurement of materials and mechanical/process equipment and the maintenance of equipment lists.
Coordinate with other disciplines and departments to accomplish project goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years related engineering experience is required.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or related field.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D modeling and MS office.
Must be proficient in AutoCAD and 3D (Inventor, Revit).
Candidates must be able to occasionally travel to other M3 offices and project sites to provide field support for new and ongoing projects.
Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be a self-starter, detail-oriented and have exceptional organizational skills.
Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner and work in a team environment sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited supervision.
A valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required.
Desired Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (PE)
Experience as a discipline lead for multidisciplinary design and construction projects.
Construction field experience.
