Solutions Credit Union is seeking a friendly, dependable, and member-focused Member Service Representative to join our team. This position plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our members while performing routine teller and account service functions.
Position Summary
The Member Service Representative is responsible for providing prompt, accurate, and courteous service to members by processing financial transactions, assisting with account inquiries, and promoting credit union products and services. This is a part-time position scheduled for approximately 24 hours per week.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting wage: $19.00 per hour
- Paid holidays (After probationary period ends)
- Paid vacation and PTO (After probationary period ends)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet members in a professional and friendly manner
- Process routine financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and check cashing
- Balance cash drawer daily and maintain accuracy in all transactions
- Assist members with basic account inquiries and problem resolution
- Open new accounts and assist with account maintenance, as applicable
- Educate and refer members to appropriate credit union products and services
- Maintain member confidentiality and comply with all credit union policies, procedures, and regulations
- Identify potential fraud or suspicious activity and report appropriately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area
- Perform other duties as assigned to support branch operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior cash handling, customer service, or financial institution experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn credit union systems
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
