Currently seeking Registered Nurse (RN) to support the Adult Care Unit (ACU) for the Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility (CCHCF). Position will require flexibility with scheduling with rotating day and night shifts.
Requirements:
1. Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed by applicant.
2. Three (3) years nursing experience with minimum 1 year experience providing Adult Care
3. A current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States, throughout the term of this contract.
4. Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS),
Duties:
1. RN will provide full range of adult medical-surgical care to patients admitted to Adult Care Unit (ACU).
2. RN will exercise knowledge of the nursing process and its application to clinical practice in order to provide individualized, goal-oriented nursing care to the adult patient(s).
3. RN will exercise knowledge of scientific and psychosocial nursing theory, principles, spiritual, and social-cultural needs of the Indian patient.
4. RN will exercise knowledge of biological aspects of disease processes and illness relating to Obstetrical and newborn infants and is able to recognize complications and implement appropriate nursing/therapeutic intervention required.
5. RN will exercise knowledge of the medications and dosages in order to recognize their desired effects, side-effects, and complications of their use.
6. RN will analyze the results of various medical procedures and translate them into appropriate nursing interventions
7. RN will work effectively and harmoniously within the health care team and with Indian patients and their families.
