Chocolate Bash is a fast-growing dessert café known for our handcrafted crepes, waffles, chocolate-covered strawberries, Dubai chocolate creations, shakes, coffees, and premium desserts. We're looking for an energetic, dependable, and customer-focused Shift Leader to join our Irvine Spectrum team and help deliver an exceptional guest experience every day.
Position Summary
As a Shift Leader, you will oversee daily operations during your shift, lead and support team members, ensure outstanding customer service, and maintain our high standards for quality, cleanliness, and efficiency. You will serve as the leader on duty, helping create a positive and productive work environment while ensuring smooth store operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate team members throughout each shift.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
- Train and coach employees on company procedures and service standards.
- Assign tasks and ensure opening, shift, and closing duties are completed.
- Maintain food quality, presentation, and food safety standards.
- Keep the café clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Handle cash, process transactions accurately, and balance registers.
- Monitor online and third-party delivery orders for accuracy and timely preparation.
- Track inventory levels and communicate product shortages.
- Support sales by promoting menu items and encouraging upselling.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health regulations, and safety procedures.
- Step into any position when needed to support the team.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of restaurant, café, or food service experience.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and organized.
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain one before starting).
