ABOUT THE UNIT:
Responsible for the daily management and supervision of the Financial Counseling Dept, including Government and Charity Eligibility, Referrals and Approvals, Vendor Management, scheduling, order management, pre-registration and precertification. Works closely with affiliated departments to insure an expedient patient flow. Communicates effectively with physicians, their staff, and hospital staff. Is responsible for developing and enforcing policies and procedures. Ensures work processes are efficient and customer focused. Coordinates with physicians, their staff, and hospital staff to provide quality care and patient safety. Participates in hospital-wide performance improvement and customer service programs. Serves on appointed committees. Excellent interpersonal and management skills required to successfully communicate with employees, technical staff, physicians, patients, administration, other departments and public. Good written, speaking, and presentation skills necessary.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 Years Supervisory Experience Required
- Bachelor's Related Field Preferred
- 3 Years Financial and Clinical Experience in Healthcare setting Preferred
