Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as AS400 and SAP.
- Conduct regular cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and root cause analysis to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and merchandising teams to optimize stock levels through demand planning and category management strategies.
- Utilize data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau to analyze inventory trends, forecast needs, and support process improvement initiatives.
- Manage materials handling activities including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and materials management to ensure timely delivery.
- Perform data mining and analysis using spreadsheets, Excel data analysis tools, and supply chain analytics to inform purchasing decisions and pricing strategies.
- Engage in cross-functional communication with supplier management teams to coordinate sourcing efforts, negotiate contracts, and enhance supply chain efficiency.
Skills
- Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, warehouse operations, and inventory management software.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data collection, data analysis skills, financial modeling, and supply chain analytics.
- Technical proficiency with ERP systems (such as AS400), warehouse management systems (WMS), Power BI, Tableau, Nielsen data tools, and Excel for data analysis.
- Knowledge of procurement processes including sourcing, purchasing, contract negotiation, and materials handling.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot inventory discrepancies or process inefficiencies.
- Familiarity with logistics inventory management practices including shipping & receiving, heavy lifting procedures, 3PL coordination, and production planning.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating across departments such as merchandising, retail management, demand planning, and supplier management.
- Physical ability to perform materials handling tasks involving lifting or moving heavy items safely; experience with forklift operation is a plus.
