We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Bilingual Spanish Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our compassionate healthcare team. Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using safe handling techniques like Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, maintaining meticulous medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Support medication administration under the supervision of nursing staff, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Provide specialized care for patients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory impairments by implementing tailored care plans that promote safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in various settings such as long-term care facilities, hospitals—including ICU and trauma centers—home care environments, and assisted living communities.
- Assist with medical procedures like phlebotomy or catheter care when trained and authorized, following aseptic techniques to prevent infections.
- Use patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely while practicing manual handling best practices to prevent injury.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families in both English and Spanish to ensure understanding of care plans and address concerns compassionately.
Experience
- Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the state of practice with aleast 2year or more experience
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required; strong communication skills are essential for effective patient interaction.
- Prior experience working with geriatric patients or in senior care environments such as nursing homes or assisted living communities.
- Demonstrated familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation.
- Experience providing specialized care including Alzheimer's/dementia care, memory support, or behavioral health is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, infection control practices—including infectious disease care—and basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Hands-on experience in diverse healthcare settings such as hospital medicine units (medical-surgical, ICU), outpatient clinics, or home & community care environments is advantageous.
