We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Treatment Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient care plans, coordinating treatment schedules, and ensuring compliance with medical regulations. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and coding.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient treatment plans and ensure timely follow-up on care.
- Manage scheduling of appointments and procedures for patients.
- Conduct insurance verification and assist patients with understanding their benefits.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before submission.
- Provide administrative support to the medical team, including clerical tasks such as filing and data entry.
- Serve as a point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing exceptional customer service.
- Utilize EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or Dentrix for patient management.
- Assist with medical billing processes including CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding.
- Ensure efficient operation of front desk activities including multi-line phone systems.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, health information management, and care plans is essential.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is highly desirable; knowledge of Eaglesoft or similar software is a plus.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance patient communication.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are required.
- Excellent typing skills and experience with 10 key typing for data entry tasks are beneficial.
