Duties
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests during the event, ensuring timely delivery and presentation.
- Set up banquet tables, including arranging linens, utensils, glassware, and centerpieces to create an inviting atmosphere.
- Buss tables promptly by clearing plates, silverware, and glassware while maintaining cleanliness throughout the event.
- Assist with food handling and food preparation tasks as needed, adhering strictly to food safety standards.
- Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, answer questions about menu items, and address any special requests or concerns.
- Support catering staff with food distribution and replenishment to ensure seamless service flow.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance throughout the event to enhance guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality environment is preferred, especially banquet or catering experience.
- Strong guest services skills with a focus on guest relations and customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food handling, serving techniques, and food safety protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor that fosters positive guest interactions.
- Flexibility to work during the scheduled event hours; availability for the entire duration of the event is essential.
- Prior restaurant or hotel experience is advantageous; familiarity with food service equipment is a plus.
