Area Manager – Breakfast & Lunch Restaurant Operations
Position Summary
The Area Manager is responsible for the operational excellence, financial performance, and leadership development of 2–3 restaurant locations. This role partners closely with General Managers to deliver exceptional hospitality, execute consistent operational standards, and build high-performing teams that create loyal guests and profitable restaurants.
The successful candidate is a servant leader who enjoys coaching people, being present in the restaurants, solving problems, and creating a culture where team members are proud to serve fresh, made-to-order food with genuine hospitality.
Essential Responsibilities
Leadership & People Development
- Lead, coach, and develop General Managers and restaurant leadership teams.
- Recruit, hire, train, and retain top talent.
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching, performance evaluations, and development planning.
- Build a strong leadership pipeline through succession planning and internal promotions.
- Foster a positive, accountable, team-first culture built on respect, integrity, and servant leadership.
Operations Excellence
- Ensure every restaurant consistently delivers exceptional food quality, cleanliness, speed of service, and hospitality.
- Maintain strict adherence to all operating procedures, food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
- Conduct routine operational assessments and implement action plans for continuous improvement.
- Support new initiatives, menu rollouts, and operational enhancements.
Guest Experience
- Champion a hospitality culture where every guest feels welcomed, valued, and appreciated.
- Ensure restaurants consistently deliver friendly, attentive service and memorable dining experiences.
- Review guest feedback, identify trends, and coach teams to improve satisfaction and guest loyalty.
- Resolve escalated guest concerns professionally and promptly.
Financial Performance
- Drive sales growth while protecting profitability.
- Manage labor, food cost, controllable expenses, and operating margins.
- Analyze financial statements, key performance indicators, and restaurant scorecards to identify opportunities.
- Develop action plans that improve productivity without sacrificing the guest experience.
Brand Execution
- Ensure consistent execution of recipes, presentation standards, and operational systems.
- Protect the integrity of the brand through disciplined execution and attention to detail.
- Promote a culture focused on fresh, made-to-order food, quality ingredients, and operational consistency.
- Partner with marketing and community initiatives to grow sales and strengthen local relationships.

Qualifications
- Three or more years of multi-unit restaurant management experience.
- Full-service restaurant experience required; breakfast or brunch experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success developing General Managers and management teams.
- Strong financial and P&L management skills.
- Proven ability to improve sales, profitability, and operational execution.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working in restaurants during peak breakfast and lunch business periods.
- Ability to travel regularly between assigned locations.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
