Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service by actively listening to their preferences and needs.
- Educate customers on various cannabis products, including strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories, through engaging product demos.
- Assist customers in selecting products based on their desired effects, experience level, and preferences, offering personalized recommendations.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing, while maintaining accuracy in retail math calculations.
- Promote ongoing promotions to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and merchandise products attractively to maximize sales opportunities.
- Conduct inventory checks, assist with stocking duties, and ensure proper product rotation for freshness and compliance.
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting remote customers.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines related to cannabis sales and handling.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth shopping experience and uphold store standards.
Requirements
- Previous retail sales or food service experience preferred.
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail setting are a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product details clearly and confidently.
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Familiarity with a POS systems, cash handling procedures, and math is essential for accurate transactions.
- Knowledge of cannabis products or willingness to learn through training sessions is essential.
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are required to create positive interactions both in person and over the phone.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately during transactions.
