Schedule: Monday-Friday | 40-50 Hours Per Week
Join a structural steel contractor supporting the Columbus Airport expansion project. This role offers the opportunity to oversee safety on a high-profile construction project involving steel erection, crane operations, rigging, and fall protection programs while partnering closely with project leadership and field personnel.

Oversee daily safety activities for structural steel construction operations

Monitor steel erection, crane operations, rigging, and material handling activities

Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments

Support and enforce fall protection programs and elevated work activities

Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation

Deliver new hire orientations and ongoing safety training

Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and pre-task plans

Maintain safety documentation and compliance records
-
Partner with field supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards

Promote a positive safety culture across the project
5+ years of construction safety experience
Structural steel construction safety experience
Experience supporting steel erection activities
Experience with crane operations, rigging, and fall protection
OSHA 30 Certification
Airport or aviation construction experience
OSHA 510 Certification
CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential
Large commercial or industrial construction experience
