Position Summary
Aries Well Service is seeking a Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and installing equipment used in oil well servicing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, welding experience, troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety.
Essential Job Duties
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and installation of oil well servicing equipment and machinery.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Inspect equipment and components for defects, wear, or malfunctions.
- Remove, clean, repair, and reinstall parts such as clutches, brakes, and related components.
- Guide the loading and unloading of equipment in repair yards and field locations.
- Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Weld and repair equipment including rig floors, handrails, ladders, and other structural components.
- Paint and recondition equipment and tools as needed.
- Service and maintain company trucks and support vehicles.
- Complete work orders and follow company maintenance procedures.
- Participate in required safety training and comply with all company, local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous mechanical experience required; oilfield equipment experience preferred.
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, welders, hoists, diagnostic equipment, and other shop machinery.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Valid driver's license required.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally lift and carry over 100 pounds.
- Push and pull equipment and components up to 75 pounds.
- Frequently stand, walk, squat, kneel, reach, and climb ladders or stairs.
- Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Perform repetitive manual tasks requiring hand strength, dexterity, and coordination.

Work Schedule: Varies based on operational needs.
Hours: Vary and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as required.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule based on business demands.
- Must be available for on-call assignments and emergency repairs when needed.
- Ability to respond after hours, weekends, and holidays to support operational needs.
