Respiratory Therapist (RT) | Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

Location: Youngstown, OH
Pay Rate: $60/hour
Position Type: Per Diem
Care Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Shift Availability: 7AM-7PM, 7PM-7AM

Job Summary

Elite Medical Staffing is hiring Respiratory Therapists (RTs) for skilled nursing opportunities in Youngstown, OH. This position offers flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and the ability to pick up shifts that fit your availability.

Responsibilities

An RT picking up shifts through Elite Medical Staffing at a skilled nursing facility may be expected to:

Utilize EMR [PCC] to record patients' medical information and vital signs
Assess respiratory status and perform respiratory care procedures in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
Administer respiratory therapies, treatments, and medications as prescribed
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment and oxygen delivery systems
Evaluate treatment effectiveness and report changes in resident condition to the healthcare team
Educate residents, families, and caregivers on respiratory care procedures and equipment use
Respond to respiratory emergencies and provide appropriate interventions within scope of practice
Accurately document assessments, treatments, and resident responses
Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and professional practice standards
Communicate concerns or issues to onsite supervisor and agency
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience working under an active RT license
Minimum 1 year of experience working in skilled nursing
Must have reliable transportation to assigned facilities
Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
Able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds
Able to be standing and walking with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting with proper body mechanics
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Willing to complete background and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations

Credentials Required

Active and unencumbered OH RT License
Government-Issued Photo ID or Passport
CPR/BLS
Resume
Additional credentials may be required based on facility placement
