SUMMARY: LARC is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Crew Supervisor to support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in community-based employment settings. This is a working supervisor role, meaning you’ll work side-by-side with clients while providing training, supervision, and support to help them succeed on the job.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES includes but not limited to the following:
· The Crew Supervisor is responsible for hands-on training and instructions to the clients and must ensure, every day before leaving the work site, that they are completing all job responsibilities in their job. This means that the work is to be done by the Crew Supervisor, if necessary, when the clients have not met required standards.
· Demonstrates job duties to disabled individual and observes and/or assist worker, if necessary, in performing tasks to ensure understanding of job duties.
· Monitors work performance at each individual's community-base setting to ensure compliance with job specifications and safety regulations and to note behavior deviations.
· Confers with individuals to explain or to demonstrate task again to resolve work related difficulties.
· Reassigns individual to simpler tasks when worker cannot perform assigned tasks, or to tasks containing higher degrees of complexity as level of competence is reached.
· Responsible for the respect, dignity, confidentiality and right of each worker.
· Responsible for completing assessment of client/workers.
· Responsible for systematic training of workers.
· Reviews, implements and updates IHP's (Individual Habilitation Plan) on assigned clients.
· Prepares and participates in IHP (Individual Habilitation Plan) meetings, interdisciplinary and Case Management Review staffings, and other meetings as scheduled by the Director of New Hope or His/Her designee.
· Confirm with assistant or QIDP of any individual client program changes and completes monthly progress reports on all clients assigned for review by the QIDP.
· Maintains accurate records, including but not limited to, attendance data, client time sheets, client contract reports, monthly/quarterly reviews accident/incident reports, client assessments and updates, maintain client files, and must implement a work schedule for client/workers.
· Responsible for data collection, monthly/quarterly reviews, and other necessary paperwork.
· Responsible for maintaining workers files.
· Responsible for attending in-services, staff meetings, and other scheduled training.
· Responsible for effectively utilizing acquired in-service training techniques to manage both inappropriate and aggressive behaviors of client.
· Responsible for coordinating services and maintaining appropriate, professional relationships within this agency with workers, outside agencies, employers, family members, staff and supervisor.
· Reports any incident of staff injury/incident immediately to the supervisor; complete written report before the end of the shift of injury/incident.
· Reports any incident of client injury/incident immediately to the QIDP; complete written report before the end of the shift of injury/incident.
· Responsible for knowing and carrying out the established policies and procedures of LARC, Inc., and state licensing guidelines.
· Responsible for cross training.
· Responsible for ensuring that all LARC equipment, machinery and vehicles that you use (or your crew members use) are kept in clean and safe operating condition.
· Responsible for reporting equipment problems to Work Activity Coordinator and supportive Services Director.
· Responsible for training client/workers in the proper use of and maintenance of equipment.
· Responsible for obtaining supplies needed.
· Required to be familiar with Safety and Hazard guidelines set by LARC/OSHA and implement such guidelines.
· Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Vocational.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises 4 to 6 clients in the New Hope Community-Based Program. Responsibilities include training clients; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining clients; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3-4 years experience working with developmentally disabled individuals or some kind teaching experience.
