- Compensation: $40,000 - $60,000/salary, based on experience
- Commission-driven, high-volume model given 20-25% personal-lines close rate

A Day in the Life of the Personal Lines Insurance Producer
You'll be the go-to advisor for individuals and families navigating auto, home, renters, umbrella, and other personal coverage decisions. From assessing risk to recommending the right policy and closing the deal, you'll build a thriving book of business while becoming a trusted resource clients keep coming back to. Every relationship you grow directly fuels the agency's success and reputation in the community.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing an existing book of personal lines business while generating new opportunities through referrals, networking, and community involvement
- Conducting needs assessments and risk evaluations to recommend the right coverage
- Preparing, presenting, and closing insurance proposals with a focus on value and education
- Binding new policies and processing endorsements, renewals, and cancellations per carrier guidelines
- Performing account reviews to spot coverage gaps and cross-sell opportunities
- Building long-term client relationships that drive retention and account growth
- Partnering with account managers and service staff for smooth onboarding and ongoing satisfaction
- Keeping client records accurate and up to date in agency management systems
- Staying compliant with state insurance regulations and agency procedures
- Maintaining strong relationships with carriers and underwriting partners
- Hitting (and beating) sales, retention, and service goals
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license
- 2–5+ years of selling experience in personal lines insurance
- Proven track record of meeting sales or retention targets
- Solid knowledge of personal insurance products (auto, homeowners, renters, umbrella)
- Comfortable with high-volume outreach
- Strong consultative sales and closing skills with a client-first mindset
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated, competitive, and driven to exceed goals
