Duties
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards for fine dining service
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure seasonal freshness and quality
- Execute food preparation tasks efficiently, including chopping, portioning, plating, and garnishing dishes with precision
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining consistency and excellence
- Support catering events and special functions by preparing multiple courses with attention to detail
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary ingredients and supplies for smooth kitchen operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fine dining restaurant kitchens or similar upscale food service environments
- Strong culinary skills with proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, knife skills, and meal assembly
- Knowledge of menu planning, food safety standards, and proper food handling practices
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with specialized dietary needs
- Experience in food industry settings such as restaurants or catering services is highly desirable
- Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and ability to work efficiently under pressure
