Position Overview
Are you a motivated, high-achieving Cal Poly San Luis Obispo student who thrives in a dynamic, luxury-level clinical environment? MedSpa SLO is seeking two exceptional interns to join our team and grow alongside top-tier healthcare professionals. This internship is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Advertising, Communications, Hospitality, Healthcare, Nutrition, Nursing, Kinesiology, or Pre-Med.
Compensation: College credit (intern must arrange credit through their academic institution) OR minimum wage, plus discounted MedSpa SLO services throughout the internship period.
Key Requirements - A Must:
- Excellent VIP customer service skills - delivering a flawless, five-star client experience is non-negotiable
- EMR (Electronic Medical Records) proficiency - required
- HIPAA compliance knowledge and strict adherence - required
- POS (Point of Sale) system operation - required
- A professional, polished, and positive presence that reflects our brand at all times
What You Will Do
As a MedSpa SLO intern, no two days are the same. You will be immersed in every aspect of a thriving medical clinic and gain hands-on experience that most students only dream about. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing multiple phone lines with confidence, professionalism, and warmth
- Operating our POS system and handling client transactions accurately
- Scheduling and coordinating appointments to optimize provider efficiency
- Maintaining the highest standards of clinic cleanliness and presentation
- Stocking, organizing, and managing inventory of retail and medical supplies
- Delivering exceptional VIP hospitality to every client from arrival to departure
- Capturing high-quality photos and videos to showcase our services and culture
- Creating, editing, and posting engaging social media content for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
- Building and growing our brand presence through strategic, on-trend digital content
- Assisting providers with any and all needs to ensure the ultimate client experience
- Supporting EMR documentation and maintaining strict HIPAA compliance at all times

Schedule: Approximately 15 hours per week with flexible scheduling to accommodate your class schedule.
