American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a 13-week inpatient rehab travel assignment, treating acute inpatient and swing bed patients on a Monday–Friday day shift schedule.

Inpatient rehab setting covering acute inpatient and swing bed patients
-
Patient population includes orthopedic/total joints, neurological (strokes), occasional brain injuries, medical, and general ICU cases

Caseload of approximately 8–10 patients per day with one therapist on per day

Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts (0830–1700)

May be required to float to a nearby medical center when census is low

Epic EMR used in this position

Holiday coverage may be required

Active OT license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)

Minimum 1 year of licensed experience in acute inpatient or rehab setting preferred; candidates with limited experience who demonstrate capability will be considered

Current BLS certification required

2 professional references required for consideration: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Orientation typically consists of 2–3 days of department-specific training; travelers should plan on a Monday–Friday schedule during onboarding

No self-scheduling; no blocked scheduling or special scheduling requests will be accepted

Scrubs are permitted but must not match the color of other departments; an approved color list is provided upon hire

Former permanent employees of this facility must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment

This is a more independent role given the geographic location of the facility; candidates should be comfortable working in a smaller, somewhat isolated setting
