Job Description
We are looking for a dependable and motivated Logistics & Air Cargo Operations Specialist to join our team in West Palm Beach.
We are first and foremost a final-mile trucking and LTL freight company, while also serving as a cargo agent handling air freight operations for a major airline partner. This is a hands-on logistics position that provides exposure to multiple sides of the transportation industry.
The person in this role will be trained in air cargo operations, including preparing air waybills, processing freight documentation, coordinating cargo, and following applicable handling procedures.
This is not strictly an office or dispatch position. The role also involves working on the dock, occasionally operating a forklift, assisting with loading and unloading freight, and helping our primary dispatcher with LTL and final-mile operations when needed.

Key Responsibilities
Air Cargo Operations
- Train to perform cargo agent responsibilities for air freight shipments
- Prepare and process air waybills and other required shipping documentation
- Verify shipment information and maintain accurate freight records
- Assist with the receiving, processing, staging, and release of air cargo
- Follow applicable procedures and requirements for handling air freight
LTL & Final-Mile Operations
- Assist with coordinating LTL and final-mile shipments
- Support the primary dispatcher with scheduling, routing, driver communication, and shipment updates as needed
- Communicate with customers, drivers, and other logistics partners regarding freight status
- Help resolve day-to-day operational issues involving pickups and deliveries
Dock & Warehouse Operations
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks when needed
- Stage, receive, and organize freight on the dock
- Operate a forklift as needed
- Verify freight counts, labels, and shipment information
- Help maintain a safe and organized dock and warehouse environment
Administrative & Billing Support
- Assist with customer billing and shipment documentation
- Maintain accurate records within company systems
- Ensure paperwork is completed correctly and in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, trucking, warehousing, air cargo, or LTL operations is preferred
- Air freight or cargo agent experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when preparing shipping documentation and air waybills
- Comfortable working both in an office environment and on the freight dock
- Ability to safely perform physical warehouse and freight-handling duties
- Forklift experience is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced transportation environment where priorities can change throughout the day
Class A CDL — Bonus
A Class A CDL is a strong plus, but is not required for this position. Candidates with a Class A CDL who are able to assist with driving or transportation operations when needed will receive additional consideration.

Compensation
$45,000 - $70,000 per year
Starting compensation will be based on relevant logistics experience, air cargo experience, dispatching experience, forklift experience, and whether the candidate holds a Class A CDL.
