Position Overview:
Refuge Services Group Inc. is seeking professional and dependable Security Officers with exceptional customer service skills—a key requirement for employment. Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor security and surveillance systems, as well as alarm systems.
- Provide immediate assistance to clients or business owners during emergencies.
- Maintain detailed and accurate daily reports and incident logs using company-approved technology and app-based software.
- Adhere strictly to site instructions and post orders.
- Arrive punctually, meet all time commitments, and follow company dress code and professionalism standards.
- Interact courteously with clients, visitors, and team members to foster a safe, service-oriented environment.
- Communicate promptly with the Advanced Patrol Officer and/or Branch Patrol Supervisor regarding any client or property concerns.
- Handle company-issued equipment responsibly, including radios, keys, uniforms, and other assigned devices.
- Uphold quality standards and performance benchmarks set by the Branch Patrol Supervisor.
- De-escalate conflicts professionally through effective communication.
- Respond appropriately to alarms, suspicious activities, or criminal incidents such as theft, vandalism, trespassing, or workplace disturbances.
- Perform screening, inspections, and verification of vehicles and pedestrians per site rules and post protocols.
- Complete other related duties as assigned by Refuge Services Group Inc.
Qualifications:
- Prior military or law enforcement experience preferred.
- Valid Florida Class D and Class G Security Licenses required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
- Professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
- Ability to stand or sit for long durations.
- Must own a personal firearm suitable for duty use.
- Dependable, alert, adaptable, and team-oriented.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Capable of using a smartphone and related technology efficiently.
