About the Position
We're a warm, growing private music studio looking for a caring, enthusiastic Children's Music Teacher who loves helping kids discover the joy of music.
This position is ideal for educators who believe music should be engaging, encouraging, and accessible. Whether you're an experienced teacher or have experience working with children in another setting, we're looking for someone who enjoys building confidence, nurturing creativity, and making every lesson a positive experience.
You'll teach primarily one-on-one lessons to children and teens in a supportive studio environment where scheduling, billing, and administrative tasks are handled for you—allowing you to focus on teaching.
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging, age-appropriate private music lessons for students ages 5–18
- Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel motivated and confident
- Adapt lessons to each student's learning style, interests, and pace
- Introduce music fundamentals through fun, structured, and creative activities
- Celebrate student progress and help students develop a lifelong appreciation for music
- Communicate professionally with parents about student growth and lesson goals
- Participate in paid training and occasional team meetings
- Follow studio curriculum while bringing your own personality and teaching style to each lesson

- Enjoys collaborating with a supportive teaching team
- Is open to learning new teaching methods and participating in ongoing training
- Teaching Beginner Piano
Qualifications (Preferred but Not Required)
- Experience teaching children in music, education, camps, childcare, or similar settings
- Ability to teach piano or another musical instrument
- Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field is a plus
- Background in early childhood education, child development, or classroom teaching is welcomed
- Additional creative skills such as singing, movement, dance, art, or storytelling are a bonus
Compensation & Benefits
- $30–$35 per hour, based on experience
