Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Collect accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and response to interventions to inform ongoing treatment plans
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other self-care skills
- Use positive reinforcement strategies to promote desired behaviors and manage challenging behaviors effectively
- Collaborate with team members to develop, review, and update care plans that align with each client’s goals
- Maintain confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensuring all medical documentation and records are accurate and up-to-date
- Support clients during teaching sessions, therapy activities, and community outings in a safe, patient-centered manner
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management strategies is highly desirable
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance is a plus
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to follow detailed instructions while demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions
