Job Description
Video Access Control Service Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing and troubleshooting commercial security products/systems including access control, video management systems. This includes low voltage cabling and fiber optics, cable management, locks, network switches and associated software. This person is expected to be an ambitious person, looking to learn the ins and outs of the Access Control/CCTV field.
Position Responsibilities
Install and service access control, video management
- Abide by building code standards and company safety standards
- Pull wire and fiber optic in different environments
- Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that systems are complete and operational according to contract requirements
- Troubleshoot system installations to ensure they are functioning properly and meeting all local, county, state and/or federal codes and licensing requirements
- Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, and software installation
- Must document and track all pertinent project information in our system for all service calls and jobs
- Exhibit professional appearance and conduct

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Candidates should have knowledge of:
- Security camera systems
- Access control systems
- Candidate will carry or manipulate loads/equipment up to 20 pounds on a frequent basis, and up to 50 pounds on occasional basis.
- Must be able to constantly or frequently reach overhead/above shoulders, stand, stoop, bend, climb, and crawl in many work environments. May be required to work at elevated heights and/or work in confined spaces.
- Work conditions will include exposure to dusts, heat, cold, and potential noises.
- Able to coordinate between field crews and design to successfully complete projects within scope and time constraints.
- Able to interact and correspond to customers in person and/or writing in a professional manner.
- Periodically attend seminars or similar education/training sessions to stay abreast of latest technology, codes, and standards changes.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma, BA, BS, or experience or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid driver’s license required.
