Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Pediatric Speech Therapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. This role involves providing specialized therapy services to children with diverse needs, including those with autism, disabilities, or developmental delays. The ideal candidate will have experience working in pediatric settings and a strong understanding of early intervention, outpatient care, and school-based therapy. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families through personalized care plans and collaborative case management. The position has potential to become full time if the need arises.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients to determine their speech therapy needs.
- Provide therapy sessions in the outpatient setting.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment outcomes.
- Participate in discharge planning and transition strategies to ensure continuity of care across different settings.
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain detailed case management records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate families on therapeutic techniques and strategies to support ongoing development at home.
Qualifications
- CCC-SLP
- CF-SLP will be considered for this position
- Experience working with children with autism, disabilities, or developmental delays in outpatient, school-based, or home health settings.
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and patient care principles relevant to pediatrics.
- Experience with care planning, case management, discharge planning, and working within multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with children, families, educators, and healthcare providers.
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques for diverse populations including geriatrics is advantageous but not required. Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
