Overview
I am seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join my in home daycare. This role involves supporting the care and development of children in a nurturing and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, possess relevant experience, and demonstrate strong caregiving skills. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's growth and learning during their formative years.
Duties
- Assist provider in implementing daily activities and lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Supervise children during play, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety and engagement
- Support children's social, emotional, and developmental needs through attentive caregiving and behavior management
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom environment
- Provide basic first aid when necessary and communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress or concerns
- Support inclusive practices by working with children with disabilities or special needs, ensuring they receive appropriate attention and care
- Assist with diapering, feeding, and other routine childcare tasks for infants and toddlers
- Participate in ongoing training related to childhood development, classroom management, and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate activities for infants through preschoolers
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and parents
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for caring for young children
- Ability to manage behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning environment
- Relevant background in early childhood education or special education is beneficial but not required

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 per week
