BASIC FUNCTION:

Understands all of the assembly and QA tasks on a variety of machines. Works independently building, checking out and finishing machines. Provides field support as needed for installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.
PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mechanical assembly of equipment to meet specifications and deadlines.
- Electrical assembly of equipment to meet specifications and deadlines.
- Performance of basic electrical controls tasks including PLC, HMI, Motion Control, and robotic program updates and queries.
- Test, troubleshoot and repair equipment to meet quality and performance standards.
- Direct and perform QA and FAT activities.
- Direct and perform field support and commissioning activities through customer sign-off.
Requirements:
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Balanced mechanical and electrical assembly skills.
- Ability to interpret and update specification documents.
- Level 1: Mechanical Expertise:
o Performs proper and efficient mechanical assembly and testing of equipment based on effective interpretation of design documentation, customer specification and company or project specific assembly standards.
- Level 2: Electrical and Field Work Expertise:
o Performs proper and efficient electrical assembly of equipment based on effective interpretation of design documentation, customer specification and company or project specific assembly standards. Approved for field support assignments.
- Level 3: Controls Expertise
o Performs effective down/uploading, troubleshooting and modification of programming for PLC, HMI, Motion, Robotic and other controls software supplied with equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or GED required.
- Two-year mechatronics, automation or electrical program preferred.
- 1 year machine building experience preferred.
