Wholesale Distributor located in Garden Oaks / Oak Forest area is seeking a qualified and organized person with inside sales/customer service experience.
Position is FULL TIME, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
Description
- We are seeking a talented and experienced Customer Service/Inside Sales Representative to help support and grow a wholesale import and distribution business.
- The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional who has experience and is able to undertake a variety of sales/office tasks and work diligently under pressure. Must be friendly and enthusiastic to provide customer service and establish new customers. Having an understanding of hydraulic systems and components is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Wide range of tasks - MAJORITY of the time will be spent answering phones/emails and interacting with customers. It would include providing quotes, order entry and any other type of sales support needed.
- Provide knowledgeable answers to questions about product, pricing and availability (understanding customer needs and offering solutions and support)
- Work with internal departments to meet customer needs
- Maintain trusting relationships with customers and colleagues
- Maintaining database (CRM, Excel, etc) of prospective client information
- Helping with inside sales and other office tasks as needed such as researching potential leads, making sales calls, etc.
- Making outbound prospective phone calls to convert prospects to new customers.
Skills
- Proven experience in B2B customer service (at least 1-3 years)
- Excellent phone etiquette and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of “back-office” computer systems (ERP software, MS Office)
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
- Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
- Ability to generate new business from leads is a PLUS
- Hydraulic fittings and hose knowledge is a PLUS for understanding technical sales aspects
