Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Duties
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems according to schematics and design specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and extend system lifespan
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and plumbing issues using tools such as ohmmeters and hand tools
- Troubleshoot complex HVAC system problems including electrical diagnostics, equipment troubleshooting, and mechanical systems repair
- Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, fans, thermostats, valves, and electrical wiring
- Conduct system inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate into costly repairs or failures
- Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and reports for all performed tasks in compliance with safety standards
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in HVAC system installation and repair
- Service technician experience with hands-on work in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and building automation system diagrams
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC design principles, refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and plumbing connections
- Skilled in using hand tools, electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters, and specialized equipment for troubleshooting
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications related to ammonia refrigeration or boiler operation are a plus
- Experience working with HVAC system maintenance programs and property maintenance tasks
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; familiarity with <PERSON> driver requirements preferred
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments requiring physical activity and safety awareness
