Job Description:
We are currently seeking Construction Laborers for permanent positions in the area. Successful candidates will be responsible for assisting with various tasks on construction sites to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
You will also play a crucial role in the successful completion of interior construction and finishing projects. You will work alongside experienced tradespeople to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interior Construction: Assist with the installation of drywall, framing, and insulation; perform tasks such as cutting, measuring, and assembling materials.
- Finish Work: Execute tasks including but not limited to painting, trim installation, flooring, cabinetry, and hardware installation.
- Site Preparation: Prepare work sites by setting up necessary tools and equipment, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
- Material Handling: Manage materials including loading, unloading, and moving supplies; ensure proper storage and handling of construction materials.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with other team members, subcontractors, and clients to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail to achieve superior results.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in the construction field.
- Skills: Proficient in reading tape measure and using hand and power tools; basic knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and safety practices.
- Physical Ability: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
- Dependability: Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; additional certifications (e.g., OSHA training) are a plus.
- Specialized Skills: Experience with advanced finish techniques or specialized trades (e.g., tiling, custom carpentry) is a plus.
