Medical Assistant – Casual (As Needed)
Scheurer Primary Care – Harbor Beach, a part of Scheurer Health, is seeking a casual Medical Assistant.
Job Responsibilities:

Greet and register each patient, verify insurance coverage, and collect co-pays

Assist healthcare providers with patient care and treatment
-
Obtain and record patient vital signs and medical history
-
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
-
Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
-
Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures
-
Assist with patient education and follow-up care
-
Maintain medical equipment and supplies
-
Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy
-
Perform other duties as assigned
-
The candidates will assist with in-store promotions, marketing and various community wellness activities
Job Requirements:
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Completion of a medical assistant program
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
-
Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
-
Experience with electronic medical records
-
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
