Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, tractors, and other machines with precision and safety.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and material handling to support construction activities.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Support construction crews by performing labor tasks including site cleanup, material transport, and setting up work zones.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and your team.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and work performed throughout each shift.
Experience
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators (including Kubota models), skid steers, dump trucks, is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction site safety practices and procedures.
- Hands-on experience in construction environments involving grading, paving, or land clearing operations is a plus.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving heavy vehicles is desirable.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance on equipment.
- Familiarity with construction tools and machinery operation standards.
- Previous work on large-scale construction projects or infrastructure development is advantageous. Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
