Responsibilities and Duties

Safe Vehicle Operation: Drive and operate heavy-duty Jet/Vac trucks to designated locations in a timely manner when instructed by management or supervisor, adhering to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.

System Maintenance: Perform high-pressure water jetting to clear blockages and vacuuming to remove debris, grit, and sludge from manholes, catch basins and underground pipelines.

Equipment Care: Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections. Perform minor field maintenance and ensure the truck and tools are clean and in good working order.

Report and log any deficiencies of equipment post equipment operations.

Inspect vacuum hoses and fittings for integrity prior to operation.

Track performance of all assigned nozzles and report any deficiencies.

Ensure that the vehicle is fueled for next day operation.

Ensure that all equipment is being cleaned and stored properly after each use.

Field Reporting: Maintain accurate daily logs of footage cleaned, debris tonnage removed, and any structural issues identified in the lines.

Safety Compliance: Set up work zone traffic control and strictly follow confined space entry protocols.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with crew leader, CCTV technician and project manager to ensure seamless project execution.

Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

Commercial Driver's License: Valid CDL Class A or B with a Tanker Endorsement and Air Brakes.

Clean Driving Record: A safe driving history is essential for insurance and bonding purposes.

Verbal and written communication required to effectively communicate with vendors/clients and management both in person and over the phone.

Software: Must be comfortable and proficient in the operation of company utilized software installed on personal smartphone.

Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.

Professionalism: A "team-first attitude. Must be able to represent the company professionally when interacting with clients and the public.

Must have the ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given.

High school diploma or GED required.
Physical Requirements

Attendance: Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with company policy.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred but Not Required Experience:

Industry Experience: 1-2 years of experience in sewer/storm drain cleaning or hydro-excavation.

Technical Aptitude: Experience with hydraulic systems, high-pressure pumps, and vacuum blowers.

Specialized Certifications: OSHA 10/30-Hour Construction Safety, First-Aid/CPR, or Confined Space Entry certification.
