Journeyman Electrician – Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and project specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical installations. Troubleshoot electrical issues using multimeters, circuit testers, and other diagnostic tools; diagnose and resolve problems efficiently. Perform conduit bending, wire pulling, panel installation, lighting systems, outlets, switches, and related electrical work. Ensure all work meets safety standards, including proper lockout/tagout procedures, PPE use, and OSHA guidelines. Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, other trades, and apprentices to complete jobs on schedule and to quality standards. Mentor and provide guidance to apprentice electricians as needed. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent; complete job reports and documentation. Inspect electrical systems for code compliance, safety hazards, and proper functionality; recommend and implement corrective actions. Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and in good working condition.
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
