Responsibilities

- Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, analyzing performance data to inform instruction and support student growth.
- Incorporate educational technology tools and learning platforms to enhance classroom engagement and facilitate interactive lessons.
- Foster positive classroom management strategies that promote respectful behavior, active participation, and a safe learning environment.
- Collaborate regularly with colleagues on lesson planning, curriculum development, and student support initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and upcoming classroom activities or concerns.
- Support students with special needs or those requiring early intervention services, including working with specialists such as speech therapists or behavioral specialists.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, literacy education, behavior management, and inclusive teaching practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience teaching young children in an elementary school setting with a strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and differentiated instruction techniques.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism or requiring special education services.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and parent engagement.
- Knowledge of educational technology integration and learning management systems.
- Ability to analyze student performance data to tailor instruction effectively.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools used in elementary education.
- Prior experience in private or Montessori school environments is a plus.
- Certifications or training related to early childhood education or special education are highly desirable.
