Purpose Statement
The Production Coordinator will work closely with the Production Group Leader, performing both administrative and hands-on tasks. The role involves approximately 70% time on the production line and 30% administrative duties, including scheduling, reporting, and staff coordination.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
- Support daily production schedules by assisting with associate placement and task coordination to meet production orders
- Spend significant time on the production floor monitoring workflow, safety, and quality expectations
- Maintain compliance with GMP, food safety, and plant safety standards
- Assist with preparing, organizing, and submitting production, safety, and performance reports
- Support documentation accuracy and completion of required paperwork
- Communicate production issues, delays, or safety concerns promptly to minimize disruptions
- Assist in training, coaching, and motivating associates to support productivity and engagement
- Rotate breaks and lunches for associates to maintain line performance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic math and computer skills (data entry, reports, basic systems)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in both hot and cold environments
- Familiarity with basic production scheduling, coordination, or problem‑solving (training provided)
- Ability to work various shifts, including overtime or weekends as needed
