What You’ll Do
Instruction & Student Engagement
Deliver engaging, high-quality Physical Education and Health instruction
Foster a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
Supervise and support students across school settings
Planning & Differentiation
Design lessons aligned with MSDE standards and individual student needs
Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners
IEP & Student Support
Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals
Collaborate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary planning
Assessment & Documentation
Track student academic and behavioral progress
Maintain accurate records including attendance, grades, and reports
Collaboration & Communication
Partner with teachers, administrators, families, and service providers
Support a team-based approach to student success
Behavior & School Culture
Implement schoolwide behavior systems
Promote positive student engagement and growth mindset
Leadership
Provide direction to classroom support staff
Contribute to a collaborative and mission-driven team
What You Bring
Education & Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Physical Education, Health, or related field
Maryland Educator License (MEL) (or eligibility required)
Skills & Expertise
Strong classroom management and instructional skills
Experience working with students with special education needs preferred
Ability to design and adapt lessons for diverse learners
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Comfort with technology and documentation systems
