Position Summary
The Environmental Services (EVS) Lead is responsible for supporting daily housekeeping and sanitation operations at the Aurora Regional Navigation Campus. This role ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests, staff, and visitors while assisting in the supervision and coordination of WorkBridge associates.
The EVS Lead serves as a working leader, providing guidance, support, and accountability to team members, and acting as the point of contact in the absence of the WorkBridge Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Support
- Assist in leading and directing WorkBridge associates under the guidance of the WorkBridge Manager
- Provide daily direction, coaching, and support to EVS team members
- Serve as the EVS point of contact when the WorkBridge Manager is unavailable
- Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
- Monitor work quality and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to standard
Cleaning & Sanitation Duties
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, shower rooms, conference rooms, and common areas
- Perform terminal cleaning and general housekeeping of hotel-style rooms
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the facility
- Clean windows, walls, and other surfaces as needed
- Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles
- Maintain cleanliness of exterior grounds and surrounding areas
Inventory & Equipment Management
- Stock and maintain restroom and janitorial supplies
- Monitor supply levels and communicate needs to leadership
- Ensure proper use, care, and storage of janitorial equipment
- Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly
Compliance & Safety
- Follow all safety procedures, infection control practices, and company policies
- Ensure compliance with cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Identify and report hazards or maintenance concerns
- Support a safe environment for guests, staff, and visitors
- Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required)
- Previous experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or environmental services
- Ability to lead by example and work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to take direction and communicate effectively
Preferred
- Experience in a lead or supervisory role
- Experience working in shelters, healthcare, hospitality, or similar environments
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks in various environments
Work Environment
- Indoor and outdoor work environments
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and bodily fluids (with proper PPE provided)

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary dependent on experience, ranging from $20 to $23/hour.
- Paid time off plan begins at 2-weeks (10 days) per year.
- Sick time is accrued at a rate of 1 hour per every 30 hours worked
