Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and personable Fine Dining Server to provide exceptional guest experiences in our upscale restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, excellent customer relations skills, and experience working in a fine dining environment. This role involves delivering high-quality service, ensuring food safety standards, and creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. Prior experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, along with knowledge of wine and food pairing, is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be passionate about hospitality, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tables efficiently during busy service hours.
Weekends required, this is a part time temporary position that may lead to permanent standing.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items and wine pairings to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using POS systems
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with bussing tables and resetting dining areas to maintain cleanliness and readiness
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, specials, and wine selections
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the restaurant’s standards of hospitality
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings; nightclub or food industry experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as toast POS, Mior OpenTable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and revenue
- Basic math skills for cash handling and bill calculations
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience is advantageous
- Hospitality background with a focus on guest relations and service excellence
