American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift position requiring SC or compact RN license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications, and 2 years of experience.

Work in the Cardiac Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
-
Care for inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions
-
Common diagnoses include sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and Coronary Artery Disease
-
Patient population may include those receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation
-
Perform special procedures including vasoactive drug administration, antiarrhythmic drug therapy, thrombolytic therapy, defibrillation/cardioversion, and thoracentesis
-
Utilizes cardiac telemetry monitoring, EKG, and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring equipment

Uses Epic EMR system

Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 1900-0730
-
Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need

Floating required to like units or other facilities depending on census needs

Active SC or compact RN license required

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

Minimum 2 years of experience in the field required

At least 1 year of recent experience in a cardiac telemetry unit preferred
-
Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
-
Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
-
Provide direct care to cardiac telemetry patients including monitoring, medication administration, and emergency response
-
First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
-
Orientation occurs every Monday with annual compliance requirements

Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
-
Floating to other units or campuses may be required based on census needs, limited to units where competencies have been demonstrated
