American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience, CT proficiency, and CA Fluoroscopy certification for a 13-week acute care assignment at a Level II Trauma facility.

Acute care hospital setting within a Diagnostic Radiology department

Level II Trauma center
-
Covers OR, ER, and both inpatient and outpatient cases
-
Uses Cerner EMR and Philips iPatient 64-slice and big bore 16-slice CT scanners
-
10-hour day shifts with an 8:00 AM start time
-
No weekend or call requirements as part of regular schedule — call details to be discussed during the interview process

Holiday coverage may be required

1–2 shift orientation within the department

Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience required

CT experience is required
-
Active BLS, ARRT (R) certification, and California Fluoroscopy Permit required — no pending certifications accepted

California state license required if applicable — active at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Experience in a fast-paced acute care or trauma environment strongly preferred

Must be a self-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision

Driver's license required for consideration

2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Level II Trauma experience is preferred but not required

C-arm use in the OR is part of the role

Radiology department is described as very fast-paced; candidates should be accustomed to high-volume, dynamic environments

Night shift can be more challenging due to fewer available resources
-
Teal scrubs required; OR scrubs are provided when working in the OR
-
Radiologist is in-house until 6:00 PM, then on-call
-
Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year; candidates who worked PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
