Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, assembling, and organizing ingredients according to recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including counters, utensils, equipment, and floors through regular cleaning and sanitizing
- Support food running duties by delivering prepared dishes promptly to servers or directly to guests when needed
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing dishes to ensure a tidy dining environment for guests
- Support heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices when moving supplies or equipment around the kitchen or storage areas
- Contribute to overall restaurant operations by providing excellent in-person customer service and communicating effectively with team members
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory; eagerness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting practices
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude when interacting with team members and guests
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus for supporting order processing
- Experience with food preparation, cooking, or banquet service is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
