Signature Staging is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Assistant Stylist & Staging Manager to join our home staging team.
This is a hands-on creative role that supports the staging process from warehouse preparation to final installation. The right person will help create warehouse vignette layouts, prepare furniture and décor for upcoming projects, assist with staging and destaging homes, and help ensure each property feels polished, cohesive, and ready for photos.
This position is a good fit for someone who has an eye for design, enjoys styling spaces, is highly organized, and is comfortable working in both a warehouse and client properties. While this is a creative staging role, it also requires physical work, including lifting décor and furniture items, loading and unloading inventory, and helping keep the warehouse organized and stage-ready.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
- Assist with preparing and executing home staging projects from start to finish
- Create warehouse vignette layouts using furniture, art, rugs, trees, and décor
- Help select and prepare staging items for upcoming projects
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment
- Track, organize, and manage staging inventory and storage locations
- Load, unload, transport, and properly secure staging inventory using company vehicles
- Assist with staging installations and destaging projects at properties throughout San Diego
- Independently set up rooms, including furniture placement, art, trees, and décor styling
- Execute staging plans while maintaining Signature Staging’s design quality standards
- Carefully inspect, handle, and pack inventory to minimize damage during transport and staging
- Ensure all items are returned, cleaned, and stored correctly after destaging
- Maintain awareness of inventory availability and warehouse readiness for upcoming projects
- Follow company safety procedures when lifting, moving, and securing furniture and décor
- Complete property walkthroughs as the role grows, beginning with empty lockbox-only properties and eventually growing into client-facing walkthroughs

- Communicates clearly with team members regarding scheduling, inventory, and project updates
- Can take direction but is also able to work independently when needed
- Takes initiative and looks for ways to help without always being asked
- Maintains professionalism with clients and team members
- Works efficiently while still maintaining staging quality
- Is comfortable working on-site, in the warehouse, and at multiple properties throughout the day
- Can lift and move décor and furniture items regularly
- Has flexibility for varying project schedules and occasional longer staging days
- Has a valid driver’s license and is comfortable driving company vehicles when needed
Experience
Previous experience in home staging, interior styling, interior design, visual merchandising, furniture, warehouse organization, or a related field is helpful, but not required. We are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, a good eye, and a positive attitude.
Schedule
Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, daytime hours. Some days may vary depending on staging, destaging, walkthrough, and project schedules. Our typical ours are 8:30am-5pm, but this role will come with flexible hours. Some weeks a full 40 hours will be available, and others closer to 20.
