Candlewood Suites St. Charles by IHG is seeking an additional & experienced Bilingual (English/Spanish) Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team and ensure every guest room meets the high standards our guests expect.
This is a hands-on leadership position. We are looking for someone who leads by example, holds themselves and others accountable, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming hotel. The ideal candidate is dependable, motivated, and willing to jump in wherever needed to support the team and deliver an outstanding guest experience.
Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
Compensation:

Responsibilities:
Must report to work by 8:00 AM each scheduled shift to prepare the department before the housekeeping team arrives.
Ensure all housekeeping carts are fully stocked, organized, and ready for the day's assignments.
Create daily housekeeping boards and assign room assignments based on hotel occupancy and operational needs.
Conduct morning inspections of guest rooms, public areas, hallways, stairwells, and exterior areas to ensure cleanliness and identify maintenance concerns.
Prioritize departure rooms to maximize room availability for arriving guests and early check-ins.
Supervise, train, coach, and motivate the housekeeping team while leading by example.
Perform detailed room inspections to ensure all guest rooms meet IHG Brand Standards before being released to the Front Desk.
Monitor the housekeeping team's productivity, time management, and daily progress to ensure assignments are completed efficiently and on schedule.
Provide real-time coaching and hold team members accountable for quality, attendance, and performance expectations.
Assist with cleaning guest rooms, laundry, and public areas whenever business demands require.
Maintain housekeeping inventory, monitor linen levels and cleaning supplies, and notify management when replenishment is needed.
Report maintenance issues promptly and follow through until they are resolved.
Communicate throughout the day with the Front Desk regarding room status, early arrivals, VIP rooms, stayover service, and out-of-order rooms.
Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Fluent in both English and Spanish (Required).
Previous hotel housekeeping experience required.
Previous housekeeping leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to motivate, train, and hold team members accountable.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to stand, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Reliable transportation and excellent attendance required.
Weekend and holiday availability is mandatory.
