Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in assigned areas.
- Maintain floors through buffing and waxing as needed to ensure a polished appearance.
- Conduct commercial cleaning in facilities, ensuring all areas meet cleanliness standards.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks, including the use of specialized equipment for deep cleaning.
- Carry out custodial duties in both commercial and residential settings as required.
- Provide porter services by transporting materials and supplies throughout the facility.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and report any issues promptly.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and maintained in an organized manner.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and waxing, is a plus.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning equipment is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
- A commitment to safety protocols while performing maintenance tasks.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $8.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 9 per week
