Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Fiberglass Laminator with hands-on boat manufacturing experience. This role involves open-mold, hand-laid lamination and working with advanced composite techniques to produce high-quality marine components.
Job Requirements
- Prior experience working for a boat manufacturer (marine industry experience required; theme park or non-marine experience does not qualify)
- Strong experience with open-mold, hand-laid lamination, including small parts
- Knowledge and hands-on use of:
- Wet-out guns
- Vacuum bagging
- Infusion techniques
- Experience working with:
- Various resins and gel coats
- Fiberglass and composite materials
- Foam cores and structural adhesives
- Ability to perform lay-up of composite materials, fiberglass, resins, and catalysts onto mold surfaces
Preferred Experience (Plus, but not required)
- Advanced experience with vacuum bagging and resin infusion processes
Employment Eligibility
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Visa sponsorship is not available
- Reliable transportation required to meet scheduled work hours
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 6:45 AM – 3:40 PM
Workplace Conditions
This position is based in a warehouse environment where flammable materials are handled. For safety reasons, Velocity Powerboats maintains a tobacco-free workplace.
Job Type & Compensation
- Full-Time
- Salary: $35,000 – $67,200 (based on experience)
