BASIC FUNCTION:
The Assistant Registrar for Records and Registration is responsible for the interpretation and application of student records policies, grade processing, registration functions and the overall accuracy and integrity for the production and maintenance of academic records for all students.
This position will serve as a primary contact point for student records inquiries, transfer credit evaluation and processing, enrollment, and registration. With an emphasis on service, efficiency, and use of technology, the Assistant Registrar will assist in streamlining overall processes and services for the records and transfer credit functions of the Office of the Registrar.
SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY:
Responsible for providing supervision for various functions and work units. Formally plans, assigns, directs, and coordinates the work of these functions. Performs staff evaluations and makes recommendations regarding pay and/or performance.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
Internal contacts include administrators, faculty, staff and students. External contacts include vendors, contractors, visitors, alumni and the general public.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Assists in the operational functions related to enrollment & registration including, but not limited to, registration permissions, overrides, waitlist and batch registration.

Collects, records, maintains, and reports academic records in accordance with FERPA and university best practices (i.e., enrollment data, athletic eligibility, and completion data).

Manages transfer credit evaluation and processing using AACRAO transfer credit best practices.

Manages progress toward degree completion requirements and compliance for student athletes in accordance with NCAA, MEAC and University rules.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in a registrar’s office or closely related enrollment. Management professional at a higher education institution.
