As an Experienced Welder/Fabricator, you'll fabricate and weld a wide variety of custom steel projects from blueprints, fabrication drawings, and specifications. This role requires a high level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining NIX's quality and safety standards.

Our ideal candidate will:
- Fabricate and weld a wide variety of custom steel components and assemblies using MIG welding techniques
- Interpret complex blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders with minimal supervision
- Lay out, fit, tack, and assemble parts to precise specifications
- Produce high-quality welds that meet company and customer standards
- Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications
- Safely operate fabrication equipment, overhead cranes, forklifts, and other shop equipment
- Work efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity
- Assist with mentoring less experienced team members when needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Participate in job-related training and continuously develop fabrication and welding skills
- Follow all company safety policies and use required personal protective equipment
- Contribute to team success by assisting with related duties as needed
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of welding and fabrication experience preferred
- Strong MIG welding experience required; TIG experience is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and measuring tools
- Experience fabricating structural steel, custom equipment, or heavy industrial projects
- Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and other fabrication equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Dependable with a positive attitude and commitment to quality craftsmanship
