Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Skilled Laborer/Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of carpentry and construction tasks to support residential and commercial projects. Your expertise in reading blueprints, operating hand and power tools, and working with various wood and construction materials will be essential to delivering high-quality craftsmanship. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood framing, trim, siding, doors, windows, and fixtures with precision.
- Operate hand tools such as hammers, saws, chisels, and screwdrivers, as well as power tools including drills, saws, sanders, and woodworking machines.
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely while maintaining adherence to power tool safety protocols.
- Assist with plastering, stucco application, caulking, rebar installation, mold remediation, and water damage restoration projects as needed.
- Install flooring materials and perform metal stud framing for interior walls or exterior structures.
- Support remodeling efforts by hanging doors, installing fixtures, applying siding or stucco finishes, and working with various wood construction materials.
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a focus on carpentry or woodworking in residential or commercial settings.
- Hands-on experience operating hand tools and power tools for woodworking and framing projects.
- Familiarity with wood construction materials such as siding, flooring materials, trim components, metal studs, and other building supplies.
- Knowledge of construction site safety procedures including power tool safety practices.
- Experience in remodeling projects including fixture installation, door hanging, flooring installation, plastering or stucco application.
- Industry experience in restoration or water damage repair is a plus; certification in relevant areas such as rebar installation or mold remediation is advantageous.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
